VooFoo Studios goes all-in with Pure Hold’em for PS4, Xbox One, PC

VooFoo Studios, best known for their Pure Pool and Pure Chess releases, is upping the ante with a new Texas Hold’em poker title for next-gen platforms and the PC.

Pure Hold’em will apparently be the very first Texas Hold’em game to come to the PS4 and Xbox One, and it will feature online play for up to 8 players, extensive customization, and the stylish, super-realistic visuals that VooFoo is known for.

Take a look at the first pieces of media for the game below.

Place your bets! Indie developers VooFoo Studios and Ripstone Publishing have announced today that Pure Hold?em; the newest addition to the critically-acclaimed Pure series, is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam this year. The game will also be the first Texas Hold?em Poker game to grace PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.

Already renowned for the beautiful visuals and hyper-real gaming experiences on offer in Pure Chess and Pure Pool; VooFoo Studios are not holding back in their latest addition to the Pure series ? where they?re continuing to blur the lines between the gaming world and reality.

Welcome to the Pure Casino, where playing big means winning big. Split across 4 different tables, each requiring more skill and determination than the last, Pure Hold?em brings all the excitement of the casino to the convenience of the couch.

Starting at the Joker table on the floor of the vibrant casino; those who are top of their game can work their way up to the esteemed Aces and Masters tables in the VIP penthouse. Players can buy their way into a game with earned credits, play their blinds, or go all in ? whatever it takes to steal the pot and win the game. If Lady Luck is on their side, they could win big and get the chance to enter a higher level table. The higher the player goes, the higher the stakes and the bigger the pot.

With full online multiplayer support ? players can choose to create a tournament with up to 8 friends or join an open table with other players looking for a quick poker fix.

VooFoo have also included various customisable options; including everything from the colours and the patterns of the table felt, right up to choosing which set of cards and poker chips you want to play with.

Pure Hold?em will be playable for the first time at SXSW in Austin, Texas next month ? for those lucky enough to be attending, be sure to come and check it out! In the meantime, take a look at the brand new trailer and ask yourself ? are you all in?

To celebrate Pure Hold?em?s announcement, Pure Pool is currently 40% off on PlayStation 4 with an additional 10% off for PS Plus subscribers. Get the game here. It?s also 50% off on Steam.
