Mortal Kombat X story trailer konfirms even more kombat kids

Believe it or not, some players actually care that the Mortal Kombat franchise has some sort of story. So with all the mysterious character reveals for Mortal Kombat X, it’s nice to see that NetherRealm Studios has finally blessed us with an official story trailer for the game.

Since it takes place 25 years after the previous installment, there are apparently quite a few kombat kids picking up where their parents/family members left off. So officially joining Cassie Cage is Jacqueline Briggs (Jax’s daughter), Takashi Takeda (Kenshi’s son), and Kung Jin (Kung Lao’s descendant).

Taking place 25 years after the events of Mortal Kombat (2011), the new generation of characters will discover that Outworld is not the only threat they face. Fans will get a first look at the newest fighters to join Cassie Cage, including Jacqueline Briggs, daughter of Jax, Takashi Takeda, son of Kenshi, and Kung Jin, descendant of Kung Lao.

MKX hits console and PC platforms on April 14th.
