To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the launch of the original PlayStation, Sony will be selling the PS4 in a color scheme that resembles their very first console, and limiting it to only 12,300 units worldwide (to celebrate its 12/3/00 release). The “Original Gray” $499 SKU will include a PS4, a DualShock 4, a vertical stand, a headset and a PlayStation Camera all in that same retro color.
Those interested in getting their hands on the 20th Anniversary Edition PS4 can do so on the Sony site (sony.store.com) on Saturday, December 6th. Just in time for the big PlayStation Experience event of course.
Check out some product shots below along with an unboxing video showing off the console, the super fancy box and accessories. Oh and apparently, if you head on over to the PlayStation Store, you can even download a free 20th Anniversary theme for the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita in the near future.
