The PS TV comes in 2 flavors… a $99 standalone unit which can be used with your own PS Vita memory cards, games and PS3/PS4 DualShock controllers, or a $139 bundle with a memory card, a DualShock 3 controller and a copy of LEGO The Movie The Videogame.
The neat little device is compatible with a good portion of the PS Vita library and apps, including PSP titles and PSone Classics, but based on the current list of compatible titles and ultimate FAQ, it seems to be a moving target. Games on PS Vita cards or downloaded from the PlayStation Store are supported, along with PS4 to PS TV remote play and PlayStation 3 game streaming via the PlayStation Now service.
We hope to get some hands-on with the PlayStation TV in the very near future, but if you’re interested already, grab one at your local or online retailer.
