Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed PS4 screens:

Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed stakes out a PS4 release sometime this Holiday season. Read on for more details.

XSEED Games, the independent-minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., delighted fans today by unleashing an array of new screenshots for the upcoming release of the tongue-in-cheek vampire beat-em up AKIBA?S TRIP: Undead & Undressed for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system. The screenshots showcased some of the game?s PlayStation 4 system features, including a Visual Editor which allows players to customize the look of the game world, and a chat command system which allows livestream viewers to directly interact with players in unique and comical ways. As an expression of gratitude to the fans who helped bring forth development of the PlayStation 4 version, free DLC continues to be released weekly throughout September for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system versions which were released on August 12, 2014.

AKIBA?S TRIP: Undead & Undressed (released as Akiba?s Trip 2 in Japan) takes players on an eclectic trip through a meticulous recreation of Tokyo?s ?Electric Town? district, known as Akihabara (Akiba for short), in which they will battle vampire-like foes in over-the-top, highly stylized role-playing action.

Akiba has been invaded by creatures known as ?Synthisters? who prey on game- and anime-obsessed ?otaku? patrons, forcing their victims to withdraw from society and stealing their will to live. Only direct exposure to sunlight can destroy the Synthisters, so it?s up to players to send them to the netherworld by engaging them in battle and stripping them down to their unmentionables. Everyday objects from baseball bats to comic books to motherboards can be used as weapons, and players can take enemies? unique clothing items for their own personal use. Dual Audio with English and Japanese voiceovers complements a narrative dripping with satire and nods to Japanese culture to create a bewitching modern day supernatural otaku adventure in XSEED Games? largest voice-over project to date.

AKIBA?S TRIP: Undead & Undressed is developed by ACQUIRE and published by XSEED Games in North America. The PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita system versions are now available at participating retailers, as well as digitally via PlayStation Store, for $39.99. The PlayStation 4 system version will be released this Holiday season with pricing and additional details to be made available at a later date. The PlayStation 3 system and PlayStation Vita system versions of this title have been rated M for Mature by the ESRB. The PlayStation 4 system version has not yet been rated but a Mature rating is anticipated.
