Minecraft Xbox One, PS4 Editions done and coming this week

Get ready Minecraft fans, the “slightly improved” PS4 and Xbox One Editions are coming quite soon.

4J Studios, Microsoft and Mojang reps have confirmed that the Xbox One Edition is set to launch this Friday, September 5th.

When questioned about when the PS4 version would be available, their response, via Twitter, was: “And Sony friends – you will get a Minecraft surprise soon..or maybe sooner?! ;)” Apparently that means the PS4 version will hit a bit after the European PlayStation Store update scheduled for today. Hopefully they can sneak the North American version out at the same time, but we’ll see.

The PS Vita Edition is still in development and has no updated release date at this time.
