Standalone Kinect for Xbox One launching in October for $150

Microsoft more or less dumped the Xbox One Kinect like a sack of potatoes once they needed to find a way to cut the console’s price and boost sales. But what about those Xbox One owners who bought the cheaper $399.99 SKU and still wanted the option to pick up a Kinect sensor later on? Well soon they can.

Starting October 7th, the standalone Xbox One Kinect sensor will go on sale for $149.99. If you wanted one before you probably needed to pick one up from eBay or craigslist, but at least there’s an official option on the way.

The standalone Xbox One Kinect sensor will include Dance Central Spotlight as a digital download and a bundle of 10 tracks.
