Farming Simulator 14 sprouting onto PS Vita, 3DS in June

Giants Software’s Farming Simulator has always been a bit of an underground PC/Mac hit, but last year, portable and console gamers got in on the surprisingly fun, fertile farming action (our review here).

Well, Farming Simulator 14 apparently did so well that Farming Simulator 14 is now headed to the PS Vita and 3DS later next month on June 24th. Crops, cows and tractors included.

Take a gander at the first batch of PS Vita screens and check out the announcement below.

Farming Simulator 14 screens:

Farming Simulator beat all the odds by becoming a real bestseller with over 2 million copies sold worldwide of the latest version on console (PlayStation 3 & Xbox 360), PC and Mac. The franchise has always been popular in Europe and has become a massive hit with gamers in the US where, despite a quiet launch last November, 250,000 players are now immersed in the Farming Simulator experience!

In June this year it will be the turn of handheld console players to fill the boots of a virtual farmer, because Farming Simulator is opening its fields for a bumper harvest on Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita with Farming Simulator 14. You can discover now the first screenshots of the game!

In Farming Simulator 14 on 3DS and Vita you face the challenges of a modern famer, and raise livestock (cows), grow crops, sell produce and manage and develop your own farming complex in a vast and colorful world. As you progress in the game, you will unlock a vast array of new machinery and agricultural vehicles that have been faithfully reproduced from actual vehicles from major manufacturers such as Case IH, Deutz-Fahr, Lamborghini, Kuhn, Amazone, Krone and many others.

Use the new vehicles and machinery to develop your farm on a brand new map. Cultivate your fields, manage your livestock and sell your produce in a dynamic market to acquire new equipment, vehicles and fields, and to hire workers to help you in your daily tasks.

Farming Simulator 14 invites you to confront the challenges faced by a 21st century farmer, and from June you?ll be able to play anytime, anywhere on Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita!

The game will be available in stores June 24th in North America, and will be available for download from the Nintendo eShop (3DS) and on PlayStation Store (Vita).
