[Update: Confirmed by Sony, and also available to pre-order at Amazon.]
We don’t have a release date yet, but with Sony confirming the news, here’s what we know so far. The PS4 Remastered edition of The Last of Us features full 1080p resolution (apparently “targeting 60fps“), higher resolution character models, improved shadows and lighting and several other gameplay improvements. Neil Druckmann and the cast will also be providing in-game cinematic commentary.
According to
It also includes all DLC: Abandoned Territories Map Pack, Reclaimed Territories Map Pack and Left Behind Single Player campaign.
It’ll cost $59.99, which was already confirmed from the leak.

No it hasn’t been “officially” announced yet, but it’s impossible to miss the prominent “The Last Of Us Remastered for PS4” pre-order banner right on the front page of the web version of the PlayStation Store. Obviously Sony is gearing up to announce the game’s existence, but their PS Store team got a bit ahead of themselves. Either way, great news for PS4 owners and fans of Naughty Dog’s award winning PS3 masterpiece.
The game will apparent cost $59.99… and that’s all we know at the moment. We’re hoping for a solid 1080p/60fps upgrade, but we’ll see. If it even comes close to the excellent Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition release, we’ll certainly be happy.
Clicking the pre-order link gives a 404 error at the moment, but we’re assuming it will go live sometime today when Sony makes their announcement.
