PS4 is the first product featuring DTS’ DTS-HD Master Audio|7.1 technology

DTS today confirmed that the PlayStation 4 is the first consumer device to ship with their next-generation, high definition, surround sound audio technology.

DTS-HD Master Audio|7.1 on the PS4 can be utilized by disk based media (Blu-ray) along with digital video downloads and video streaming.

Launched in North America today, November 15, PS4 marks the first product to ship with DTS? new DTS-HD Master Audio|7.1 decoder.
