Titanfall not coming to PS4 “for the Lifetime of the Title”

In case you missed the news last night, EA and Microsoft announced that Titanfall, Respawn Entertainment’s much hyped Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC release, would be an Xbox and PC exclusive release.  In other words, they struck a deal to keep the game off the PS4 and other consoles “for the Lifetime of the Title”.

The wording is pretty interesting, and sounds somewhat similar to what we saw with Mass Effect and BioShock on the Xbox 360, and we know how that turned out. Either way, Titanfall will be stomping onto the Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC in March 2014.

Here’s the announcement from Microsoft.

Today during Electronic Arts earnings call, CFO Blake Jorgensen emphasized that Titanfall “is exclusive only for the lifetime of the title on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.”

Coming to Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on March 11, Titanfall is the most critically acclaimed title of the new generation. Already the winner of more than 80 coveted awards from critics around the world, “Titanfall” is winning over fans with its thrilling, dynamic first-person action gameplay featuring elite assault Pilots and agile, heavily-armored, 24-foot Titans.
