Namco Bandai announces One Piece: Romance Dawn for 3DS

While we’ve certainly seen a handful of One Piece titles make their way to other platforms the past couple years, Namco Bandai announced today that 3DS owners will have the opportunity to pursue the dream of becoming the Pirate King with Luffy and his band of misfits in One Piece: Romance Dawn.

Scheduled to hit the 3DS in North America this holiday season, One Piece: Romance Dawn will be an RPG, developed for the Nintendo handheld by Three Rings Inc. The game promises to feature typical genre stat building, along with customization and crafting options in relation to equipped gear.

NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. announced today that one of the world?s best-selling manga, ONE PIECE, will be making a voyage onto the Nintendo 3DS hand-held system in ONE PIECE: ROMANCE DAWN this holiday season in the Americas. Developed by Three Rings Inc., this Role Playing Game (RPG) will allow gamers a chance to experience Eiichiro Oda?s manga and anime masterpiece about Monkey D. Luffy?s dreams and grand journey to become the next Pirate King.

In ONE PIECE: ROMANCE DAWN, players will set sail for amazingly drawn 3D islands with the Straw Hat Crew and explore famous stages such as Baratie, Arlong Park and more. Once drawn into the fantastical world of ONE PIECE, eager fans will have the opportunity to experience all the epic battles of ONE PIECE and encounter the franchise?s most famous bosses such as Arlong, Crocodile, Rob Lucci, and Magellan. By going head-to-head with these powerful foes, players will experience amazing battles and cut-scenes that make for elaborate boss encounters true to the original story.

RPG lovers will find themselves embarking on an adventure where they can level up their favorite characters and customize and craft tons of new items that will change both the characters? physical appearance and battle stats. ONE PIECE: ROMANCE DAWN will contain an exciting ?Grand Tactical Battle? feature within the game?s active turn base system, allowing players to choose the way of attack depending on battle situations.
