Lightning Returns meets Final Fantasy XIV in cross-title collaboration

Square Enix this morning announced that Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will feature what they describe as cross-title collaboration.

More specifically, Lightning will show up in XIV as part of a “Full Active Time Events” battle, and players can score some gear modeled after those in Lightning Returns afterwards.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII on the other hand will include clues on how to acquire the Miqo’te costume, and will also feature some Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn-themed weapons and shields which can be picked up during side-quests.

Take a look at some of this collaboration below in new screens for both games along with a video of Lightning’s arrival in Final Fantasy XIV.
