Check out Techland’s “interactive movie prequel” to Hellraid

It’s been a little while since we’ve heard much about Hellraid, Techland’s first-person co-op slasher for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Today the company released an interactive new video titled Edyn’s Escape which shows off some of the events which take place before Hellraid. It’s also a good way to get a look at some of the environments and visuals from the game.

Check it out.

Edyn’s Escape is set in the environments from the game and uses items available during gameplay. The movie?s action takes place two weeks before the events from the game where players will be fighting forces of Hell for the survival of mankind.

The main goal in Edyn’s Escape is to escape from a monastery overrun by hellish monsters as the viewer plays the role of a monk named Edyn. A special reward awaits those who see the movie through to its conclusion.

Hellraid is scheduled for a 2013 release.
