PS4 launch date is Nov. 15th in North America; Nov. 29th in Europe

Sony has just announced the official PlayStation 4 launch date… and it has been set for November 15th in North America and November 29th in Europe, and it will launch in 32 countries.

The date leaves plenty of time before the Holiday shopping season to pick up the system, games and accessories, but if you haven’t pre-ordered a standalone PS4 or bundle, it will probably be difficult to get a launch unit. Hopefully Sony and retailers will reserve a few for walk-ins.

Sony also revealed that there have been over 1 million pre-orders so far, worldwide.

Stay tuned for more Gamescom coverage.
