NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. today announces the first Free-to-Play game in the legendary Ace Combat series, ACE COMBAT INFINITY. Combining features that fans have come to love from previous Ace Combat titles with a brand new story campaign and team co-op multiplayer, the game is set to create a new generation of fighter pilot aces. ACE COMBAT INFINITY will be available in the latter part of 2013 exclusively as a free download for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system via the PlayStation Network.
?The Ace Combat franchise has set the gold standard in both graphics and dog-fighting dynamics for flight combat video games throughout its long running history,? said Chris Gilbert, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. ?The Project Aces team has crafted a Free-to-Play experience within Ace Combat Infinity that will allow gamers to enjoy high flying aerial warfare like never before.?
Preserving the core gameplay mechanics traditionally used in the series, freedom is at the heart of the experience in ACE COMBAT INFINITY as players dive into the game?s wealth of Free-to-Play content and rule the endless blue skies with impunity. The game combines a near future world setting with elements that have resonated with fans from previous Ace Combat titles, including super-weapons and hyper-realistic visuals. ACE COMBAT INFINITY?s Story Campaign mode will immerse players in an original storyline where they will execute a series of perilous solo missions. In the game?s online multiplayer mode, skilled aces will form two teams of up to four players and compete to inflict the most damage on a common enemy.
ACE COMBAT INFINITY for PlayStation 3 is scheduled for take-off in the latter part of 2013 via the PlayStation Network.
