Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD pre-order details, SD/HD comparison trailer released

ff-x_x-2_remaster_logoff-x_x-2_remaster_logoSquare Enix has the hype train for the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remasters going pretty much full steam and for those still on the fence they revealed that all pre-orders will receive an upgrade to the Limited Edition.

This Limited Edition version will include an art book package which includes commentary from the development teams and a message from the producer, Yoshinori Kitase.

Square Enix also sent over a neat comparison video which showcases the visual enhancements over the original standard definition PS2 release.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will be available later this year for the PS3 and PS Vita.

Square Enix, Inc., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX interactive entertainment products in the Americas, today announced that customers who pre-order FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster will receive a complimentary upgrade to the Limited Edition version, which includes an exclusive 24-page art book package showcasing the elegant collection of early PlayStation 2 system era concept art, along with commentary from the original FINAL FANTASY X and FINAL FANTASY X-2 development teams, and a special message from Producer Yoshinori Kitase. This limited pre-order offer will be available at major North American retailers.

These pre-order initiatives are for North America exclusively and may not reflect pre-order content available in other territories.

Kitase recently confirmed the cross-platform support of the PlayStation 3 system and the PlayStation Vita system. Additionally, a new 30 minute audio drama written by Scenario Writer Kazueshige Nojima will be included as part of the game credits.

FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster is a single disc bundle that will be available on the PlayStation 3 system for $39.99. FINAL FANTASY X HD Remaster and FINAL FANTASY X-2 HD Remaster will be available for the PlayStation Vita system. These titles will be available later this year.
