Yoshi’s New Island for 3DS also has a new E3 trailer [UPDATE: Screens]

As much as I love the original Yoshi’s Island on Super Nintendo, I have to admit that this 3DS title is doing nothing for me at the moment. I hope that the gameplay is great, but that art style? Not one bit appealing to me. Still, it’s a new platformer based around the mechanics found in Yoshi’s Island, and there’s enough on display in this trailer to give me hope that not all is lost.

I’ll wait to pass final judgment on this until I play it of course, and in the meantime you should check out the trailer below and see what you think.
