With the official launch of Wii U’s own Virtual Console service coming next week, Nintendo has begun to unveil some of the games we can expect to see around launch, or shortly thereafter. There have been a handful of releases available around for the 30th anniversary event, titles like Punch-Out and F-Zero have been offered for a mere thirty cents apiece, with Super Metroid coming up in May.
The teaser trailer embedded below shows off classic titles like Ice Climber and Super Mario World, amongst previously released titles like Punch-Out and the upcoming Super Metroid. And don’t forget, Earthbound is coming! While not available for launch, it is promised for late this year. Also, every Wii U Virtual Console release will have off-TV play with the GamePad, and a discount program is planned for those that have bought the Wii VC counterparts for these games.
