Lone Survivor is set for a summer release. Read on for the announcement below.

Curve confirmed rumours today that it would be bringing Jasper Byrne?s critically acclaimed psychological survival game Lone Survivor to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

The development of Lone Survivor for PlayStation is Curve?s latest high-profile indie collaboration. It follows the announcement of their work on converting Mike Bithell?s BAFTA-winning platforming adventure Thomas Was Alone for PS3 and PS Vita for release this spring.

The version of Lone Survivor released on Sony consoles will feature exclusive expanded content, including new locations, sidequests and items. Players will also be able to finish the game with a new ending.

Speaking about the collaboration, Lone Survivor?s creator Jasper Byrne said ?Lone Survivor’s release on PlayStation consoles is a dream come true for me. I’ve been a big fan of Sony’s hardware all my life. I really hope PS3 and Vita owners enjoy the game and its new content.?

Curve?s Director Richie Turner added ?We?re very happy to be partnering with Jasper on this project. I?ve always been a massive fan of Lone Survivor and PS Vita is the perfect platform for the game. The Cross Save functionality means players will always be up to date if they?re playing on PS3.?

Lone Survivor will be available on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita via the PlayStation Network this summer.
