Beyond: Two Souls gets an October 8th date and Willem Dafoe

Sony and Quantic Dream made a few announcements today for Beyond: Two Souls, their upcoming cinematic, psychological action thriller.

First up is the release date. Beyond: Two Souls is now scheduled for an October 8th, 2013 release date on the PS3. Those who pre-order at GameStop will get a free upgrade to the special edition version of the game which includes: Exclusive Steelbook Premium Packaging, Extensive Behind The Scenes Video Features, Soundtrack, PS3 Dynamic Theme and a PSN Avatar Bundle.

As we already know, Beyond: Two Souls stars Ellen Page as Jodie, a girl with a supernatural gift. The second big announcement is that Willem Dafoe is joining her as Nathan Dawkins a government scientist who’s job it is to work with and analyze Jodie and her psychic link abilities.
