Among the third-party publishers supporting the new PlayStation 4 was Square Enix, who took to the stage and showed the Agni Philosophy tech demo previously shown off during E3 2012. From what I, and I think everyone else could tell, there wasn’t anything new to see. If you haven’t had a chance to see the demo yet, I’ve included it in an embed below to check out. It’s definitely impressive, but I don’t think anyone doubt’s Square Enix and their ability to render cool tech demo’s at this point.
The only other bit of info came when Shinji Hashimoto took the stage and sort of said that a Final Fantasy game was coming to PS4, and to wait until E3 to find out more. Oh, and he asked that we please be excited too.
Honestly, kind of a lackluster effort out a publishing company long-associated with PlayStation as a brand, considering just about everyone else managed to bring their A-game to the event. But I’ll ramble a bit more about that at a later point.
