The Cave gets a release date – Jan. 22nd/23rd for PSN, Wii U eShop, XBLA, and Steam

The long awaited collaboration between studio Double Fine and legendary adventure game creator Ron Gilbert, The Cave, has finally been given an official release date by publisher SEGA, and that date is right around the corner. Due out on January 22nd for both PSN and the Wii U eShop, the game will be priced at $14.99. On January 23rd the game will release for Xbox Live Arcade, with a corresponding price point of 1200 MS points, and at $14.99 on Steam.

If you haven’t been paying attention to this fantastic looking throwback to old-school adventure gaming, but with a 2D platforming twist, now is the time to start. We’re looking forward to diving in soon, and hope to have  a review up for you early next week.
