As Nintendo does with pretty much any new product launch, the company announced that it will be celebrating the Wii U launch by throwing a big midnight shindig at the Nintendo World Store in NYC.
Reggie Fils-Aime will be in attendance to personally hand the first person in line a Wii U, and there will be no shortage of festivities along with giveaways for those also in line. To help support the Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, Nintendo will be selling limited edition New York-themed Mario T-shirts with all proceeds being donated to the American Red Cross

| WHAT: | Consumers will have the chance to be among the first in the world to purchase the Wii U console when the clock strikes midnight on Nov. 18 at Nintendo World in New York?s Rockefeller Plaza. Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime will be on hand to count down the launch and sell a new Wii U to the first consumer in line.
