Following Nintendo of Japan’s lead earlier this morning, Nintendo of America has announced the release date and pricing for the Wii U.
In North America, the Wii U will launch on November 18th with pre-orders starting very soon.
As with Japan, the Wii U will come in two different SKUs, a basic 8GB white version with a Wii U console, a GamePad, a Wii U sensor bar, an AC adapter, and an HDMI cable for $299.99. And a deluxe 32GB black version with a Wii U console, a GamePad, a Wii U sensor bar, an AC adapter, an HDMI cable, a GamePad stand and charging dock, a console stand and finally a copy of NintendoLand for $349.99.
Obviously if you’re interested in buying NintendoLand anyway, the 32GB bundle is the one to get.
Now that the cat’s out of the bag, expect a lot more details for the hardware itself and the online Nintendo Network service. So stay tuned for a flood of new information.
