The original Killzone goes HD as part of the Killzone Trilogy for PS3

We’re surprised it took this long… but the original Killzone is getting the enhanced HD treatment and being re-released for the PlayStation 3.

Sony today confirmed Killzone Trilogy, yet another PlayStation Collection release, which will include all 3 titles in the series along with all the available content and map packs for Killzone 2 and 3.  Killzone, which was originally released on the PS2, will include 720p HD enhanced visuals, Trophies and hopefully other tweaks and enhancements.

The Killzone Trilogy is set for an October 23rd release with an MSRP of $39.99.

Take a look at a pair of screens of Killzone and also check out the Killzone Trology trailer.
