Skylanders Giants new character reveal “Swarm”

Activision sent over a new character reveal for their follow-up installment of the wildly successful toy/game hybrid Skylanders. This character, dubbed Swarm, is a giant bee Skylander, and the handful of screen shots gives you a pretty good idea of how his size stacks up to the normal cast. Included below is a shot of the physical toy on the Skylander portal base.

Skylanders Giants is scheduled to hit store shelves later this year, and if the previous game and figures are any indication, it’ll probably be on the biggest items this holiday season. Literally and figuratively.

Bio: Swarm was once a prince from a proud race of mysterious insect warriors that had built their entire civilization inside a giant honeycombed pyramid. Growing up as one of the 9,000 members of the royal family, he was never permitted to leave the hive. But unlike his brethren, there was a magical quality to Swarm that caused him to grow much larger than the rest of his kind.
