Angry Birds Trilogy flying onto PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS this Holiday

Activision and Rovio today confirmed that Angry Birds would finally be headed to modern consoles, along with the Nintendo 3DS, in the form of Angry Birds Trilogy.

The disc-based PS3 and Xbox 360 retail compilation game will feature Kinect and PlayStation Move controls and will containthe original Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio. We have no clue why Angry Birds Space wasn’t included, nor why a PlayStation Vita version has yet to be announced. The latter seems like a super obvious one…

Anyway, here’s the first screens of the HD enhanced console versions of Angry Birds Trilogy along with the announcement.

Angry Birds Trilogy screens:

Angry Birds Trilogy is set to fly into your living room Q4 2012.

Today we are pleased to bring you details on Activision?s new video game versions of the worldwide phenomenon known as Angry Birds. The game is officially titled Angry Birds Trilogy and it is a compilation of the three blockbuster classics (Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio) for Kinect for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 with Move capability, and Nintendo 3DS. The console version is in stunning HD with totally new controls built for a living room, while the Nintendo 3DS game is the first truly new Angry Birds handheld experience.

?With Angry Birds Trilogy, every version supports the unique experience tailor-made for the platform. In addition to normal gamepad controls, with Xbox 360 we support Kinect for easy family-friendly game play. We’re seeing that resonate strongly especially with the younger audience. With PS3 you can play also with the Move controller. On Nintendo 3DS we’re supporting Stereoscopic 3D and Streetpass,? said Petri J?rvilehto, Executive Vice President, Rovio Entertainment Ltd. ?We are working hard to ensure that no matter what platform you choose to play on, you will always get the best possible game play experience.?

Angry Birds Trilogy will be available in Q4 on Kinect for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 with Move capability and Nintendo 3DS. More information on new content, features and come!
