DmC Devil May Cry sadly shifts to 2013

Capcom last night revealed a bit of news that will probably make gamers and fans of the Devil May Cry series a reason to cry… or maybe just sulk a bit.

DmC Devil May Cry, the series reboot by Heavenly Sword-developers Ninja Theory, has been the latest big game release to slide into 2013. The new release date has been confirmed as January 15th, 2013, worldwide for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. The PC version is scheduled for later in 2013.

To at least keep you a bit excited for the release, Capcom has sent over a trio of new screens showing off the new Kat character.

At least you can still pre-order it for now. Read on for the sad announcement.

DmC Devil May Cry, the next installment in the multi-million unit selling franchise, will release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on January 15, 2013 in North America and Europe. In addition, PC gamers will also be able to experience the title with a Windows PC version whose development is well underway and scheduled for release later in 2013.

Developed by critically acclaimed Cambridge based developer Ninja Theory in close collaboration with Capcom, DmC Devil May Cry details Dante?s early years set against a contemporary backdrop. While retaining the stylish action, fluid combat and self-assured protagonist that have defined the iconic series, DmC Devil May Cry injects a more brutal and visceral edge to the franchise.

DmC Devil May Cry will be fully localized with voice talent in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian and in addition, Polish, Dutch, Russian, and Brazilian Portuguese languages will be supported with localized text.

DmC Devil May Cry will be one of Capcom?s featured titles at its E3 booth (#1047 South Hall)
