PlayStation Vita launches in Japan, check out some launch images

Sorry you didn’t get a chance to fly to Japan, wake up super early, and wait in line to get your hands on one of the first PlayStation Vita units available?

Well, Sony has you covered, as they’ve sent over a gallery of prospective PS Vita owners standing around, then lining up and finally laying out their hard-earned cash to be the first to acquire what they hope will be the next great portable gaming experience.  This all took place at the Tsutaya store in Shibuya at around 5am Japan time.

Kaz Hirai, Executive Deputy President of Sony Corporation, and Andy House, President and CEO of SCE, were both on hand to welcome the crowd.
